ComOcean Shores

The management company is Resort Rentals and their number is 727-363-3336.  For Emergencies, there is a 24/7 on-call service.

The closest place for drinks, snacks, sunscreen, etc. is a convenience store called Sunshine Food and Gift.  It’s just a few streets up on Gulf Blvd. 6800 Gulf Blvd, St. Pete Beach.  This would be a quick stop for drinks, extra toilet paper, soap, etc.

At the beach in front of the Comocean Condo, you can rent 1 umbrella and 2 beach chairs for $30 for the day. You don’t need a reservation. You just walk out to the sand and secure it with the manager.

Our Favorite Dining

David and I recommend Rumfish Grill Restaurant. There is a massive 33,500 gallon fish tank and it is fun for the whole family. The link is here:  We recommend calling a day or two in advance for reservations.  They are open 5-9 and closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  (727-329-1428)

There are several beach casual (flips flops friendly) restaurants within walking distance of the condo.

The most casual is the Paradise Grill located on Upham Beach, walking distance from your beach umbrella and lounge chairs, near the ocean. The website has the menu: The menu is very tasty and offers a full breakfast menu and lunch menu. We love this place. Just look for the American flags from the balcony of the condo and you will see Paradise Grill.

Another fun casual restaurant within walking distance is Woody’s Waterfront Cafe and Beach Bar (Cash Only) Woody’s has the best view with tables outside next to the water. You will enjoy beautiful views and lots of dolphins while you eat tasty beach casual food and some drinks.  Woody’s is located one street up and one street to the left if you are leaving the condo.

Oyster Shucker is across the street from Woody’s.  David and I have not tried this restaurant, but learned they have all you can eat snow crab, starting at 5 pm every Tuesday.

Toasted Monkey is another favorite of ours. Toasted Monkey is only a few doors down from Oyster Shucker, There is live music every night at 6:00 pm.  Sports are always on and they serve a delicious variety of yummy beach food. The music calendar and menu is on their website:

Our favorite place for breakfast is Rick’s Reef, also within walking distance from the condo, a couple of streets toward Gulf Blvd.  Rick’s Reef has a large variety of various types of eggs benedict and delicious biscuits and sausage gravy.  Breakfast stops at 10:45 am and they have a firm cut off, so get there by 10:00 am at the latest.

Our Favorite Activities

The best shopping day is located at John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk.  All of the shops are local and there are plenty of restaurants:

The best day spa is located at the Don Cesar, Spa Oceana.
The Don Cesar Hotel has several restaurants ranging from poolside to fine dining, but the spa is exceptional.

The best watersports activities is SunCoast Watersports, which is walking distance from the condo on the beach and details can be found on their website at:

Our favorite rainy day activity is a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game at Tropicana Field.  Tropicana Field is covered from the rain and the stadium is air conditioned.  Parking is directly across the street.  The Rays schedule and ticket purchase is available here:

The most recent attraction to St. Petersburg is the magnificent St. Pete Pier.  It is worth the drive to St. Petersburg to explore the St. Pete Pier.  There are several restaurants to enjoy, but our favorite is Teak.  You must make reservations in advance and probably a day or two prior to dining.  The St. Pete Pier website is:

Here is the visitor’s page for St Pete, which highlights all of the great things to do:

We are very excited to have you explore and enjoy St. Pete Beach, Florida and the ComOcean Condo.  Relax and have a great time!
